PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of afterimage phenomenon and to make the photoelectric transducing characteristic linear by irradiating a light to a photoelectric transducing cell of a photoelectric transducer requiring the refresh. CONSTITUTION:A light is irradiated to a full photoelectric transducing cell from a power supply 60 when a pulse signal phil rises and an electron-positive hole pair is generated in the cell 20. Since the conduction electron flows externally through a collector electrode, only the positive hole is injected in a base region to boost the base potential. When pulse signals phiVC and phirs rise next, transistors TRs 25, 25', 25'' are turned on and TRs 30, 30', 30'' are turned on and respective vertical lines are connected to ground. When a pulse signal phif rises succeedingly, a refresh positive voltage pulse is fed to horizontal lines 21, 21', 21'' and simultaneous refresh is applied to the cell 20.
