PURPOSE:To enable high quality recording by forming an ink droplet having a size equal to or less than the diameter of a nozzle to well injecting and flying the same, by using aqueous ink with specific resistance of 10<3>OMEGA.cm or less or oily ink with specific resistance of 10<5>-10<11>OMEGA.cm as conductive ink. CONSTITUTION:Aqueous ink with specific resistance of 10<3>OMEGA.cm or less or oily ink with specific resistance of 10<5>-10<11>OMEGA.cm is used as conductive ink. Charge is concentrated to the narrow range of the surface of the ink emitting part at the leading end of a nozzle 5 when high voltage is applied and the radius of curvature of the ink emitting part becomes small. When a piezoelectric element 4 is driven in this state, the quantity of the ink grown at the leading end of the emitting part becomes little and an ink particle 6 having a size smaller than the diameter of the nozzle 5 can be injected. Further, the emitted ink particle 6 becomes stable in its flight direction without generating meandering and a good flight state is obtained. Therefore, high quality recording can be performed. |
