PURPOSE:To control the bacterial propagation in a water purifier, by mounting a filter removing dust and a filter tank part storing activated carbon imparted with deodorizing, deionizing and sterilizing properties. CONSTITUTION:Water to be purified pushes up a falling lid 2 and passes through a coarse mesh filter 3 to flow in a filter tank 4 and contacts with activated carbon 5 in a first filter tank part 4a to absorb sterilizing chlorine gas and a malodor and acts on second activated carbon 6 in a second filter tan part 4b to sterilize general bacteria in water. The deodorized and sterilized water is further purified through a microfilter 7 to be supplied to a demmand side from the outlet pipe 9 of the filter tank 4 and the discharge port 10 of a water purifier. When calcium ions are liquid in purified water, calcium ins are suppled by the calcium ion concn. tank 8 provided in teh filter tank 4. By this method, purified drinking water with constant calcium ion concn. is supplied.
