<p>PURPOSE:To permit printing to be continuously made on several papers even when the temperature of a thermal head is near the upper limit one by setting an upper limit temperature and a restarting temperature slightly lower than the upper limit temperature in a controller. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 12 is provided to a thermal head 11, by which the temperature of the head 11 is detected. The upper limit temperature T1 and restarting temperature T2 of the head 11 are set in a controller 13. On the basis of the temperature T1 and T2, printing is controlled. By setting a temperature difference between the temperature T1 and T2 properly, continuous printing for 2-3 papers can be permitted after restarting with shorter waiting time and printing efficiency can be enhanced.</p> |
