PURPOSE:To efficiently perform the cooling and lubricating of sliding sections by forming an oil sump section at the center of the intermediate partition plate of a two-cylinder rotary compressor and communicating this oil sump section and the interior of an enclosed container with a communicating hole formed on the intermediate partition plate. CONSTITUTION:Both cylinders of a two-cylinder rotary compressor stored in an enclosed container 1 is partitioned with an intermediate partition plate 26, and a drive shaft 3 penetrates its center section. An oil sump 31 is formed at the center of the intermediate partition plate 26, and this oil sump 31 and an oil sump in the enclosed container 1 are communicated with a communicating hole 33 formed on the intermediate partition plate 26. Accordingly the oil fed inside rollers 11, 12 of the compressor via oil feed passages 21, 22, 23 in the drive shaft is smoothly circulated via the oil sump 31 and communicating passage 33, thus the cooling and lubricating of individual sliding sections can be reliably performed.
