PURPOSE:To set a printable state by quickly stopping a type wheel, by together using a reversal preventing means when the rotation of a stepping motor is stopped. CONSTITUTION:A ratchet 152 is provided to the outer periphery of an outside case 15 and engaged with a reversal preventing lever 24 and rotates to the direction shown by an arrow A but does not rotate to the direction shown by an arrow B. When printing is performed when a predetermined type reached a printing position, the current supply mode of a motor 14 is set so as to supply a current to the direction for reversing the motor 14. At this time, the motor 14 is ready to rotate to the direction shown by the arrow B but the reversal preventing lever 24 is contacted with the ratchet 152 to allow the motor 14 to certainly stop at a predetermined position. If a current is supplied to a printing coil in such a state that the motor 14 was stopped, a hammer 6 pushes the projection 801 of a type sheet 8 and a type 802 can be printed on printing paper 12. |
