As shown, the clamping means is in the form of a continuous strip having one or more pairs of folds 2, 3, Fig. 1, or a slotted strip, the free ends of which are joined by a connecting strip 15, Fig. 7a, or a strip 30, Fig. 10, the free ends of which are attached to a support 32 for a pipe or cable 33.
