PURPOSE:To transfer journal information of the own equipment to other facsimile equipment by transmitting the journal information to a prescribed destination automatically when a journal information transmission request detecting means detects a journal information transmission request. CONSTITUTION:In a picture information control section 8, the facsimile equipment recognizes sequentially a journal transmission request input and a destination input inputted from an operation section 5 and when the depression of a transmission switch is detected, a recognized destination number is transmitted to a transmission/reception section1. The transmission/reception section 1 applies line connection with the destination based on the inputted destination number. Then the control section 8 reads the journal information from a journal memory 4 at each code for one line's share and transmits it to a character generator GC6. The CG6 converts the journal information of inputted code from into picture information and transmits the result to the transmission/reception section 1. The journal information converted into picture information is written sequentially in a buffer memory in the transmission/reception section 1. When the picture information for a line's share of characters is written in the buffer memory, the transmission/reception section 1 reads the picture information is read and coded, then the result is modulated and transmitted to the destination connected by a line.
