PURPOSE:To reduce a friction loss, by forming a cross head side bearing part in both end parts of a cross head while providing a cylinder side bearing part, oppositely facing to said cross head side bearing part, on the internal surface of a cylinder and equipping a tilting pad bearing to be interposed between the both bearing parts in a stirling engine. CONSTITUTION:A cross head main unit 26, connected with a power piston (not shown in the drawing) given a change of pressure generated by a displacer piston further connected with a crankshaft 7 through a connecting rod 11, 12 in a stirling engine, forms a pair of cross head side bearing parts 26a, 26b in a position of symmetry for a reciprocating center axial line of the cross head main unit. While a cylinder fixes on its internal surface a cylinder side bearing part 29a, 29b oppositely facing to the bearing part 26a, 26b. While the stirling engine, equipping bearing parts 27a-27d of a tilting pad bearing to be interposed between the bearing parts 26a, 26b, 29a, 29b, fills a bearing clearance 30a, 30b between the bearing part 27a-27d and the bearing parts 29a, 29b with lubricating oil. |
