PURPOSE:To reduce molding flaws, to increase the density after sintering as well as to improve the magnetic characteristics of the titled permanent magnet by a method wherein, after the prescribed alloy is formed into fine powder, a compression-molding and the like is performed by adding the prescribed quantity of a heat-evaporizable lubricant. CONSTITUTION:After the compound alloy, consisting of an assortment of one or more of Y, Sm, Pr, Nd, Ce and the like and another assortment of B and the remainder consisting of one or combination of Fe and Co, is formed into fine powder, a heat-evaporative lubricant such as stearic acid and the like, for example, of 0-0.15wt% (0 is not included) is added and mixed. When the above material is compression-molded in a magnetic field and the lubricant is evaporated in a sintering process, a permanent magnet having high density and improved magnetic characteristics can be formed. |
