The invention relates to an electrometer amplifier, especially for an ionisation measurement chamber, in the case of which the voltage on a measurement capacitor is amplified by means of a field-effect transistor. The measurement capacitor can be discharged with the aid of a switch. According to the invention, this is done by the switch being arranged in the drain circuit or source circuit such that, in its discharge position, it reduces the magnitude of the source potential so that the gate-source junction becomes conductive. The switch then needs to have only a relatively low dielectric resistance. <IMAGE>
