PURPOSE:To attain surely program search of an optional position by rewriting exactly sub-code information. CONSTITUTION:In recording a sound signal and a picture signal while running a magnetic tape 1 in the direction of arrow, a main signal such as the sound signal and the video signal inputted to a modulator 6 is subject to digital modulation at the modulator 6 and the main signal is recorded on the magnetic tape 1 with a main recording head 2a driven by a main recording amplifier 4a. In recording a signal additionally on a tape after recording, the part X recorded additionally is not overlapped with the part Y recorded before as shown in Fig. A and the part X is overlapped as shown in Fig. B. In both the cases, since the address information such as a time code including in the sub-code is discontinuous at the part Y recorded before and the part X recorded additionally newly, various inconveniences take place. Since the sub-code is re-recorded automatically by depressing a REWRITE KEY10 after the end of recording in this device, the trouble can be avoided. |
