PURPOSE:To make a strong bond between a heat-sealable polyolefin resin blend rubber water-proof sheet and a water-proof rubber sheet, by inserting an unvulcanized gum tape of a specified composition into the interface of bonding between these water-proof sheets and effecting its heating, pressing, vulcanization and sealing. CONSTITUTION:An unvulcanized rubber tape is prepared by kneading 100pts.wt. butyl rubber with 3-80pts.wt. novolak alkylphenol resin and a suitable amount of a vulcanizing agent and forming the resulting mixture into a tape. This unvulcanized rubber tape is inserted into the interface of bonding between a heat-sealable polyolefin resin (e.g., polypropylene) blend rubber water-proof sheet and a water-proof rubber sheet. The formed assemblage is pressed, vulcanized and sealed at a temperature of at least 10 deg.C above the softening point of the polyolefin resin blended with the heat-sealable polyolefin resin blend rubber water-proof sheet, whereby the above two water-proof sheets of different materials can be bonded strongly. |
