RADAR DEVICE FOR AIRCRAFTS

In a radar device for aircrafts, particularly helicopters, there are provided a first frequency in the case of a maximum atmospheric dumping and a second frequency close to the first one in a reduced atmospheric dumping area, preferably at 60 GHz and at 50 GHz. The first frequency is used to warn of an obstacle, the second frequency is used for the recognition of a moving target and for navigation. The mm-wave components of the device may be widely used for both frequencies, thereby enabling a substantial economy as to the weight, the room occupied and the cost.
