PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a special device and to reduce the cost of a detector by detecting the unloaded state of a film by utilizing a film information reader which reads film sensitivity information recorded on the outer circumference of a cartridge. CONSTITUTION:When no film is loaded, an H-level nonloading signal is outputted and an AND circuit 30 is closed to inhibit a distance measurement start signal from being sent to an automatic focusing device 20. The output of the other AND circuit 32 goes up to H and its output signal is inputted as a distance measurement end signal to a sequence control circuit 18 through an OR circuit 31. The sequence control circuit 18, therefore, judges that the automatic focusing device 20 operates although it is not in operation, and makes an advance to the next step. Thus, the film unloaded state is detected, so the need for a special device is eliminated and the cost is reduced. |
