PURPOSE:To improve the steering performance by providing an enlargement conversion mechanism and an operation converting mechanism between I/O shaft and a spool valve thereby increasing the rigidity of torsion bar. CONSTITUTION:A spool valve 20 is arranged in a valve housing 21 while balancing with a stab shaft 15 and a pinion shaft 16. Through exchange operation of the spool valve 20, oil paths 30, 31 for feeding pressurized oil into cylinder chambers 28, 29 in a power cylinder 27 are coupled. An enlargement conversion member 32 is fixed through a pin 33 to the pinion shaft 16. A valve operating member 37 is fixed to the outer lace 35b of a ball bearing 35 and coupled to the spool valve 20 to be arranged slidably against the cylinder innerface 21a formed in the valve housing 21.
