PURPOSE:To facilitate pressing force changing operation by displacing a wiper blade pressing spring through a drive mechanism in the direction approximately perpendicular against the shrink/extend direction and varying the pressing force of wiper blade. CONSTITUTION:In order to increase pressing force of wiper blade, a motor is driven to rotate a warm wheel 42 through a warm pinion 41. Consequently a drive shaft 36 screwed with the wheel 42 will lower to lower a lever drive pin 36a and a spring hook pin 34 thus to displace the spring hook section 33a and hook lever 35 of spring 33 to the position shown by dashed line. Since the operating line of spring 33 will separate from a head joint pin 32, pressing force of wiper blade is increased through a wiper arm retainer 31. In order to decrease pressing force of wiper blade, the motor is driven reversely to rotate the warm wheel 42 reversely. |
