<p>The tooling is intended to lay flat the optical cable fibers, after sheath stripping, in order to cut them according to strictly aligned sections, thereby facilitating their end-to-end joining with the fibers of another cable, during a splicing operation. Said tooling comprises manual control mechanical means allowing the insertion of blades (100, 200) in a diametral plane of the cable, thereby separating the fibers into two groups (1 to 5 and 6 to 10). The blade (100) acts as a stop during the meshing of the fibers (1 to 5) in the notches (11 to 16) of a first comb (101). The blade (200) acts in the same way with respect to a second comb (not shown in Figure 2). Two opposite rotations of the combs and of the blades enable the flat laying.
