PURPOSE:To input and output picture information and coding information on a common bus, by connecting several adaptors to the common bus of a microcomputer system in a facsimile device and giving command information to each adaptor. CONSTITUTION:The system comprising a central processing unit CPU 1, including the microprocessor, an ROM2 and an RAM3 is connected with the common bus 4, and a system interface adaptor (SIA)10, a memory interface adaptor (MIA)11, a band compressing and expansion adaptor (BCEA)12, and a communication interface adaptor (CIA)13 are connected to the common bus as I/O devices in an address space of the system respectively, and the initial set is attained from the CPU1 to a command register of the adaptors 10, 11, 13 at the G2 transmission, and the picture information from a scanner 6 is written in a line memory 7, and transmitted to the CIA 13 from a common bus control section 112 with the DMA transfer or the program transfer and the data is transmitted from an MODEM 8. |
