PURPOSE:To improve possibility of random selection of paper feeder by detecting the existance of record paper sheets when a power switch is turned ot ON, and selecting the storing site of said paper feeder which is the highest in the predetermined order of priority based on the signal of the detected data, and feeding said paper feeder. CONSTITUTION:When a copying machine body 1 is loaded with cassettes 2-5 in the order of priority, the existance of record paper sheets in each of the cassettes 2-5 is detected through no-paper microswitches MS1-MS4 and the detected data are written in the memory of a microcomputer 21. When a cassette selecting button 14 is pressed under this condition and then a copying button 13 is turned to ON, one of feed paper rollers 2a-5a is operated, corresponding to the required cassette based on the data of the order of priority stored in the memory of the microcomputer 21; e.g., if the cassettes 2 and 3 contain no paper sheet while the cassette 4 contains paper sheets, the feed paper roller 4a for the cassette 4 is operated, thereby starting to feed paper sheets. |
