An implement 1 for facilitating manual carrying of sheet- shaped objects 2 has an elongated frame consisting of, firstly, a handle which can be gripped by an operator 20 in one hand 21, and secondly a holder 5, at a distance from the handle, which is disposed to grasp and hold one of two opposite edges of the sheet-shaped object 2. For this purpose the holder 5 has means for absorbing not only forces originating from the sheet-shaped object whereby the holder is guided into a direction parallel with the frame, but also forces which are directed outwards perpendicular to the frame. The distance between the holder and the handle is such that the operator can, with a straight arm as an extension of the implement's 1 frame, hold the lower edge of the sheet at a level above the ground, at the same time as the opposite edge of the sheet-shaped object is within reach of, and can be gripped by, the operator's other hand 22. <IMAGE> |
