A silage packaging comprises a body 10 of compressed silage, said silage body being enclosed by an essentially gas- and water-tight sack-like cover 11, made from soft flexible plastic material with a central section surrounding the silage body's covering surface and end sections 12, 13 covering the end surfaces of the silage body. The silage packaging additionally has an outer protective covering 16 separate from the above-mentioned, first covering 11, and surrounding, in a tight-fitting manner, at least the silage body's 10 covering surface and the first cover's central section but leaving uncovered at least one central area of at least one of the end sections 12, 13 of the first cover 11 covering the silage body's end surfaces. <IMAGE> |
