PURPOSE:To obtain a prescribed narrow gap length in a stable way, by sticking a mixture composition containing at least a kind of metallic oxides of a low melting point onto a target plate of SiO2. CONSTITUTION:Composite glass layers 13 and 13a having the same composition as a composite target are coated on the gap forming surfaces of ferrite cores 11 and 11a by vapor deposition or a sputtering method and with use of a composite target obtained by sticking spot-symmetrically a mixture composition containing at least a kind of metallic oxides of a low melting point such as B2O3, Na2O, ZnO, MgO, PbO, Al2O3, etc. Then cores 11 and 11a are press-fixed opposite to each other at a comparatively low temperature near the softing and melting temperature of the composite glass. With use of the composite target, a composite glass layer can be coated on the surface of a core in a stable way through the sputtering process of the same conditions. Thus a gap forming layer is obtained with a prescribed thickness. |
