PURPOSE:To prevent sharp increase of operating force by allowing the turning movement which is not related directly to air-stream switching by an operating lever to respond through excess turning of a rotary damper, in the blow-off damper device of an air conditioner for car. CONSTITUTION:When an operating lever 3 is operated from a position 3a to a position 3b, a damper 7 shuts -off a defroster blow-off port 6a, and air is discharged from an upper blow-off port 6b. When the lever 3 turns up to a position 3d, the damper 7 turns from the position 7a for shutting-off the defroster blow- off port 6a to the position 7b for shutting-off the upper blow-off port 6b, and air stream is switched from the blow-off port 6b to the blow-off port 6a. When the lever 3 is turned from the position 3a to the position 3b, the damper 7 turns at the intermediate position 3c from the position 7a to the position 7c. As the damper 7 performs opening and closing operation in an arcuate form at this time, the operating force does not vary when the operating lever 3 turns from the position 3a to the position 3b. |
