RESINOUS REACTION PRODUCTS Resinous reaction products wherein the hydrohalide salt of a polyamine is condensed with an epihalohydrin provides improved wet strength and improved dry strength to cellulosic substrates such as paper, paperboard, and the like. It has been found that the wet strength and dry strength of paper products can be significantly improved by using a resinous reaction product resulting from the removal of halide ions from the polyamine hydrohalide salt before it is condensed with an epihalohydrin.
