PURPOSE:In the production of styrene from ethylbenzene in gas phase in the presence of molecular oxygen, thernary oxides of metals selected from silicon, cerium, arsenic, antimony and bismuth is used as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:In the production of styrene from ethylbenzene by the high-temperature, gas-phase and oxidative dehydrogenation in the presence of molecular oxytgen, ternary oxides having a composition shown as the formula (Me is phosphorus, arsenic, antimony, bismuth; a is 10; b and c are 1-10; d is the number of oxygen satisfying the valency of oxidized metals). The catalyst is prepared by calcinating a mixture containing colloidal silica, cerium oxide, phosphoric acid, pyroarsenic acid, bismuth nitrate, or antimony oxide. The reaction temperature is 400-550 deg.C and the residence time is 0.1-20sec. EFFECT:The catalyst keeps high activity and selectivity and forms styrene in high yield |
