<p>The double-pivot hinge includes a strap of two interarticulating pieces (4, 20) and which abut a closure by an inclined face (19). A V-shaped spring (30, 31) set about an axle pin n9) ensures sequential action of the two main pivots (5, 7). One of the strap pieces (4) consists of a horizontal fork with a vertical axle pin (5) through the root fixing it to the door post (1). The other piece (20) is a horizontal cantilever arm which is secured between the legs of the piece (4) by a pin (7). At closure, the two pieces fit together to present a nominally projecting plane surface parallel to the major vertical plane of the door (2).</p> |
