Writing implement capillary nib contacting an ink reservoir in the laminated has the nib formed by a bundle of capillary tubes each having the same cross-sectional area and all being shaped at the nib end into a pt. Capillary tubes which may be juxtaposed or disposed is spaced in parallel relationship upstream of the nib may be made from polyester and their denier may vary from 500 to 1000. Selection of the required number of capillaries permits control of the flow properties or stroke thickness of the nib which is not limited to use with a narrow range of inks.
