High speed cutting of mineral fibre board - using row of rotating disc saws driven downwards through board

Cutting device has a row of discs rotating in one plane. The cutter discs are wing shaped and are mounted on one carrier beam fitted with a drive unit so that they are driven in synchronised, opposed directions, and nest in each other during rotation without touching. Each disc pref. has a double fan shape and is staggered at 90 degrees w.r.t. the next disc. Each disc is pref. made of steel and fitted with saw teeth on its periphery, the carrier beam lowered to cut board made of mineral fibres; and the beam may be also travel at the same speed as a moving board so that latter may be cut into lengths while moving continuously on a conveyor.
