<p>An electric motor is designed for slow speed, high torque output for driving worm gears, planetary gears, friction gears etc. connected to the motor. To keep backlash between coupling members extremely low while high torque is being delivered at low motor speed, the motor incorporates a rotor that runs eccentrically in the motor stator. The rotor is designed for planetary movement and takes up torque or forces from the stator so as to enable the rotor to carry out planetary rotation. The stator is more specif. comprised of two concentric rings of different effective or active diameters.</p> |
