The memory disc (1) for a digital memory system, has a spiral recording track or several concentric recording tracks. The information is recorded on the disc (1) in the form of data blocks, separated alternately by guide segments and by blank segments. The length of each unit comprising a data block and a guide segment is equal to each unit comprising a data block and a blank segment, measured in angular degrees, with each rotation of the disc (1) containing the same number of units. The rotations are divided into sectors (S1, S2, SN) which contain only data blocks or guide segments and blank segments respectively, the radial spacing between the guide segments being double the radial spacing between the data blocks.
