A safety ski binding for releasably holding the front end of a boot mounted on the ski. This binding is characterised in that the housing is mounted on a base plate in the front part thereof to be pivotable about a horizontal and transverse axis, and in that at least one rigid connecting member extends between a force transmission member and a fixed articulation point on the base plate, arranged in such a manner that the lifting movement of the boot support in the event of a backward fall by the skier causes a displacement of the force transmission member in the direction which entails an additional compression of the energy spring of the energy mechanism. |
