Appts. includes a horizontal vessel provided at axially opposite ends and diametrally opposite sides with dyeing agents inlet and outlet spigots below which extends a dyeing bath which is subdivided by perforate walls into helical tow guide channels. Above the channels is disposed a set of rollers for diaplacing the tow along the channels, a feeder being provided for feeding the tow from the last channel to the first channel. Tow is fed through appts. at optimal speed commensurate with preservation of high quality of tow.
