<p>The damper assembly is fitted within the flue of the boiler, and is fitted with a safety valve which is spring loaded to act on excessive pressure from the boiler. The damper is pivoted about an axis which passes through bearings and is cranked at one end. A counter weight assists the plate in moving upwards under the action of the solenoid which is operated by the boiler firing mechanism. When the boiler is closed down, the damper immediately closes and retains the warm air within the boiler.</p> |
