<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a high magnetic signal intensity permitting a sufficient recognition of MICR characters, and moreover, little affecting the product cost. SOLUTION: A developing device 11 comprising an image forming device is constituted of a cylindrical developer carrier 12, a magnet 13 mounted therein, a developer hopper 15 accommodating developer 14, and a developing blade 16 for setting the developer 14 electrostatically adsorbed on the developer carrier 12 to a constant film thickness. The developer for the use contains 2-20 wt.% polyethylene having a residual magnetization of 4.0-7.0 emu/g and a dispersion diameter of 0.01-0.5μm. Dimple from concave parts having a 100-200μm average radius of curvature are formed on the developer carrier 12, and are alumite- coated with a thin film of 10μm or smaller. In such a manner, the developer is stirred well and electrified in the concave parts, and this makes it possible to sufficiently recognize MICR characters.</p> |
