Novel bis-dipropylacetyl derivatives of diethylstilboestrol are prepared by reaction of the appropriate acyl halide with the stilboestrol derivative. Pharmaceutical compositions for oral or parenteral administration comprise the above novel compounds and a carrier and have properties characteristic of the oestrogens.
