PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floater which can transport an object to be carried simply and safely and a method of reinforcing an underwater structure by using the floater.SOLUTION: A floater comprises a first steel buoyancy generating part 13 formed in a hollow shape and having an inside sealed, and a second steel buoyancy generating part 14 formed in a hollow shape and into/from which ballast water can be injected/discharged thorough a water filling valve 15. When strut members 1a and 1b are loaded, the floater is put into a neutral buoyancy state by the weight of a floater 10, the weight of strut members, and the buoyancy according to the capacity of the first buoyancy generating part and the second buoyancy generating part, and when the strut members are not loaded, the floater is put into a neutral buoyancy state by the weight of the floater, the weight of ballast injected into the second buoyancy generating part, and the buoyancy according to the capacity of the first buoyancy generating part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
