PURPOSE: To improve the power efficiency of a vehicle while enhancing the drive feeling by averaging the input power to an invertor (power consumption of motor) and eliminating a lag being generated as a power generation target for next period. CONSTITUTION: Trend of input power to an invertor (power consumption of motor) for next period is estimated (110-114) based on the trend of input power to the invertor (power consumption of motor) for current period (102-108) thus setting a power generation target (116). Alternatively, the power generation target is corrected based on the opening of accelerator representative of motor load or the battery current representative of the charge/discharge state of battery, or the average period is varied. |
