<p>A cover for electrical sockets, esp. so called flush-mounted (i.e. installed in a wall flush with the surface of same) sockets, adapted to receive electrical installation components such as switch insets, plug-in sockets insets etc. is built-up of 2 materials, viz. a relatively strong core of flexible, e.g. glass-fibre-reinforced, thermoplastics and a coating of soft thermoplastics e.g. plasticised PVC having the 'hand' and decorative surface of a leather coating. Both materials are firmly combined together by means of part of the coating penetrating into openings in the core. Easy, direct combination of essentially dissimilar materials, without recourse to complicated mechanical links can be effected and mfr. may be automated.</p> |
