PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with lubricating material, and prevent abrasion under a high temperature and high pressure in a short time by manufacturing a bear ing by a compound material having a dynamical friction coefficient in liquid of a specified value and including Si or Cu. SOLUTION: When a dynamical friction coefficient in liquid which is obtained by impregnating Si or Cu in carbon fiber having a specified constitution as a bearing is measured by a pin-on-disk method, a compound material whose maximum value is 0.15 and less and fluctuation width is±0.075 and less is used. The compound material is constituted by carbon, silicon, and silicon carbide, and is constituted by a yarn collected body wherein yarns including the bundle of carbon fiber and the other carbon component are included are integrated, Si-SiC compound material filled between yarns, carbon fiber, and the other carbon component. It is thus possible to remarkably improve abrasion resistance and sliding property under the high temperature and/or high pressure condition, and it is also possible to use the bearing for a long period under a wrong environment condition in liquid.
