<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical position detector capable of improving position detection accuracy while reducing the limitation of the number of light emitting elements and light receiving elements to be arranged or the position of arrangement. SOLUTION: An optical touch panel input device 1 is provided with a display unit, a translucent panel 4, light emitting diodes(LED) 10-19, phototransistors 20-29, a switch part 30 and a control part 32. By turning on any one of LED 10-19 and detecting the light receiving state of any one of phototransistors 20-29 opposed to this turned-on one of LEDs 10-19 and any one of phototransistors 20-29 adjacent to this said phototransistor, the instructed position is discriminated.</p> |
