PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained-release gel composition capable of imparting the sustainability of volatile medicament effect. SOLUTION: The sustained-release gel composition comprises an organic-inorganic composite formed from an alcohol-soluble macromolecular compound and a compound of formula (1):R<SP>1</SP><SB>n</SB>M<SP>1</SP>X<SB>m-n</SB>, a volatile medicament, and an alcohol. In formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>is a (substituted) 1-10C alkyl, (substituted) 2-10C alkenyl, (substituted) 3-8C cycloalkyl, (substituted) aryl or (substituted) aralkyl; M<SP>1</SP>is a metal atom; X is OH or a hydrolyzable group; m is the valence of M<SP>1</SP>; and n is an integer of 0 or≤(m-2).
