PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel having excellent shock absorbing characteristics, and a cover body thereof.SOLUTION: A cover substrate part 49 is erected from a cover bottom part 48 positioned on the rear surface side of a boss part 16 in a front direction toward the rear surface side of a spoke part. A storage part 50 is provided to bulge from the cover substrate part 49 in a direction intersecting a front/rear surface direction and open to a front side. A projected wall part 65 and a connection wall part 66 which are planar weak parts are provided in at least parts of the storage part 50. The storage part 50 can be surely deformed inward in a cover body 13 with respect to a load input to the rim part 15 of a steering wheel body 11, and excellent shock absorbing characteristics can be provided by suppressing a reactive force from the storage part 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
