摘要 A highly reversible electrode active material capable of lithium intercalation is provided to realize a high reversible capacity and low irreversible capacity at an anode, to impart excellent structural stability to an anode during repeated charge/discharge cycles, and to provide a battery with excellent cycle characteristics. A highly reversible electrode active material capable of lithium intercalation is represented by the formula of SnPx, wherein x ranges from 0.9 to 0.98. The electrode active material particle is in single crystal. The electrode active material particle is grown selectively and anisotropically along the c-axis of the crystal lattice in a hexagonal system. The electrode active material particle is teardrop-shaped, and has a length of 100 nm^-1 micrometer and an aspect ratio of 1.0-10.0.
