PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter type sludge dehydration treatment apparatus capable of acquiring a contamination-free clean liquid, and a filter type sludge dehydration treatment method. SOLUTION: The filter type sludge dehydration treatment apparatus is constituted of a cyclone filter or intermittent backwashing type filter having a drain automatic valve for intermittently discharging a sludge liquid and a filter having a filter element. The filter type sludge dehydration treatment method comprises the intermittent discharge of the sludge liquid treated with the cyclone filter or intermittent backwashing type filter from the drain automatic valve to efficiently perform dehydration by the disc filter in the sludge dehydrator main body of the filter.
