PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit damage and joint failure of a thermoelectric element which results from shear stress acting on the thermoelectric element in a thermoelectric power module, which uses solar light as a heat source, and a solar light thermoelectric generator using the thermoelectric power module.SOLUTION: A thermoelectric power module 32a includes a thermoelectric element 42, a light absorber 10 joined to a first electrode 46 of the thermoelectric element 42, and a pressing mechanism 50a for pressing the light absorber 10 from a vertical direction. The pressing mechanism 50a includes: a pedestal 52 for placing the thermoelectric element 42; a plate-like member 54 which is disposed above the light absorber 10 and made of a translucent material; a support member 56 which is erected around the pedestal 52 and used to support the plate-like member 54; and a spherical body (filler) 58 and a pressing rod 60 for pressing an upper surface of the light absorber 10 with a lower surface of the plate-like member 54. A solar light thermoelectric generator 30 includes: the thermoelectric power module 32a; and a container 34 including a lighting window 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
