PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device with a maintenance function for electric motor cars, wherein with respect to each component of the equipment of an electric motor car, an appropriate replacement time can be determined relative to a reference value for replacement, corresponding to the conditions of its use before it reaches the end of its service life in years, number of times of operation, or operating time intervals, and when the replacement time has come, it can be informed that the component should be replaced. SOLUTION: The monitoring device with a maintenance function for electric motor cars includes a database 12A and a monitoring means 2A. The database stores the device name, model name, service lifetime in years, useful life in number of times of operation, and service life in operating time interval of each of the life-limited components and the consumable parts A, B, C, D, ... of an electric motor car. The monitoring means cumulatively counts the number of times of operation and the operating time of the life-limited components and the consumable parts and store the cumulative count values. When the cumulative count value of the number of times of operation or operating time of a component or a part reaches its reference value for replacement determined from the service life in years, the service life in number of times of operation, or the service life in operating time stored in the database, the monitoring means informs personnel that the component or part should be replaced through a display device 6A.
