<p>Lock ideal for the trunk installed on the back of a motorcycle. A lock housing (1) pivotably supports latch mechanism (3), is pivotably mounted on a base plate (3), and engages with a latch plate (6) mounted on the cover of the trunk. Claw (13) fitted to the housing (1) latches to a latch frame (12) formed upright on the base plate (8) in order to temporarily lock the trunk. Lock housing (1) is equipped with a number lock (2), consisting of a plurality of separate number rings engaged together. When the number rings are set to the combination, notches (22) in each ring line up with each other and with projections provided on guide plate (16) unitary with the claw (13), so that the engagement of latch frame (12 and claw (13) can be released by pushing finger button (14).</p> |
