PURPOSE:To allow to endure severe conditions such as of high temperature and high humidity in a radial tire having steel belt layers by interposing a predetermined undertread layer or nylon cord belt layer between the steel belt layers and a tread. CONSTITUTION:An under-tread layer 7 is interposed between a tread 1 containing amines and two steel belt layers 2 including steel cords 5. The undertread layer 7 is made of a rubber composition containing 0.1-5.0pts.wt. of crown ether or cyclodextrin per 100pts.wt. of raw rubber, having a thickness of more than about 0.3mm and such a width as to cover more than about 80% of the width of the steel belt layers 2. This construction allows increase of resistance to using conditions of high temperature and high humidity.
