PURPOSE:To miniaturize and make a fluid pressure control device light-weight by providing two fluid pressure control valves for controlling brake fluid pressure of wheel cylinders of left and right front wheels, and controlling the control valves based on output of three wheel-rotating-speed sensors attached to left and right front wheels and one or the other of left and right rear wheels. CONSTITUTION:Fluid pressure control valves 4a, 4b are provided respectively on fluid pressure routes connecting each of two fluid pressure generating chamber of a master cylinder 1 to front wheel side wheel cylinders 7a, 7b. Brake fluid pressure controlled by each of fluid pressure control valves 4a, 4b is also transmitted to rear wheel side cylinders 12b, 12a located at diagonally opposite positions to each front wheels through transmission routes 13, 15. Then, it is judged which one of friction coefficients of left and right road surfaces is lower from the result of assessing the skid conditions based on the output of speed sensors 28a-28c for detecting the rotating speed of both front wheels and one or the other of the rear wheels (low side judgement). Further, each fluid pressure control valve 4a, 4b is controlled based on the result of assessing the rear wheel and the result of assessing the lower side front wheel.
